Andreas Niedrig hat eine beeindruckende Karriere hinter sich – und das aus jeder Hinsicht. In seiner Jugend rutschte er tief ab, richtig tief. Die Drogensucht trieb ihn fast in den Tod – doch er schaffte es, ihr zu entkommen und wurde einer der besten Triathleten der Welt. Eine Geschichte, die so unglaublich klingt, dass sie fast aus Hollywood kommen könnte. Tatsächlich wurde die Geschichte von Andreas Niedrig auf die Kinoleinwand gebracht. Der Film „Lauf um dein Leben“, in dem u.a. auch Axel Stein mitspielt, wurde zu einem großen Erfolg. Auch nach Ende seiner Profi-Karriere bestreitet Andreas Niedrig noch Wettkämpfe und hält Motivationsseminare.
